What is a Study Buddy?
As you have probably guessed, the best way to enjoy language learning is when you can apply it in real-life conversations.
In the world of the internet, learning materials are easily accessible, but knowing how to fully utilize them, and how to apply the knowledge in real life is another skill.
We help you find a study buddy and guide you from having zero knowledge to being able to construct sentences, and to becoming a more confident Japanese learner and communicator.
You will need:
- Genki 1 (ideally 3rd edition) textbook and workbook
- Love for Japan and Japanese!
- At least 1.5 hours per week

A university qualified teacher in Sydney who absolutely loves teaching!
Reading and learning about new teaching strategies to cater for individual needs, and then implementing them have always been the driving force of Yuna’s motivation.
With over 10 years of experience teaching, including in a government high school and a little at university, she has enjoyed every moment of her career. She is bilingual (English and Japanese) so lessons are delivered in both English and Japanese.
Currently, she leads a team of tutors at a coaching school in Sydney where she trains new tutors and future teachers!
